Part 1 - Explore
Participants will learn to approach curriculum design using open resources and practices, universal design and an equity lens to improve course materials. Participants will connect with cohort members to establish a community of innovative teachers working toward more equitable and socially just student learning experiences.
Part 2 - Implement
Participants will use concepts and techniques examined in Part 1 to redesign a component of curriculum for a course they are teaching.
Logistics and Time Commitment
Part 1 will be a 4-week online course that runs 2/1/21-2/26/21. We will use technology (e.g. Canvas, Zoom, etc) to connect synchronously. Participants must be available for a 90-minute small group conversation each week, and absences must be made up. In addition to the weekly discussion, Part 1 participants will read, watch, listen to, and reflect on resources.

Part 2 will be an optional 4-week asynchronous course that runs 3/1/21-3/26/21.
Stipends
Part 1- Explore: $200 stipend upon completion.
Part 2 - Implement: $300 upon completion; Part 2 is optional for Part 1 participants, but Part 1 must be completed in order to participate in Part 2.
