3D Print Request
The Collaboratory accepts online requests for our Ultimaker S3 3D printer. There are two parts to submitting a request: fill out this form and then email your STL file to wplcollaboratory@gmail.com.

Current 3D printer guidelines:
3D printing costs $2 per hour. We will contact you with a cost estimate before running your job(s).
We are unable to run individual jobs which take more than 11 hours.
We use PLA filament in a variety of colors for all jobs. PVA dissolvable filament is an option for the support.
We will not print any objects which violate the law, are obscene, or pose a danger to others.
You may request a total of 3 separate jobs at a time. Each job needs its own form.
You may request up to 12 total copies across all jobs submitted.
You must email the STL file of your job to wplcollaboratory@gmail.com.

There are no guaranteed completion dates, and it may take a few weeks for staff to complete your request. Jobs will be run in the order they are received, and we are unable to accommodate requests to complete your job by a particular date.

Completed jobs may be picked up at the Information Desk. Payment is accepted via credit card through our web site or by cash or check. Staff will follow up with details after your job is completed.

Please fill out the form with as much detail as possible.

Clear selection
What quality should your object be? *
The higher the quality, the longer the print time. Low quality is suitable for objects without fine detail.
How much infill does your object need? *
15%-20% is standard. 100% is solid. The higher the infill, the longer the print time.
If your object needs support, should it be PLA or PVA?
PLA requires breaking the supports off the object. PVA is dissolvable in water and preserves the object's surface. Two-color objects must have PLA supports.
Clear selection
How many copies of your job do you need? If you are submitting more than one request, the maximum number across all jobs is 12 total. *
