Theatre Deli Sheffield Artist Residencies
We are opening residency applications for early 2020 to find and support work that feeds into our 2020 programming theme 'The Future is Unwritten'. Inspired by the work of sci-fi writers like Octavia Butler, and activists like Adrienne Marie Brown, ‘The Future is Unwritten’ will explore how climate change and technology are transforming human
experience.

We have two residency slots on offer both with two weeks of studio space here at Theatre Deli Sheffield, bespoke producing and marketing support as well as a £300 seed grant.

The first residency will take place from Monday 13th January until Friday 24th January and will be open to any artist or company creating work that fits our theme. We will consider applications for any form of performance art.

The second residency will take place from Monday 2nd March until Friday 13th March and is open to any artist or company identifying as female or female led (in the instance of a company) creating work that fits our theme as this residency will be taking place during our FemFest Fortnight around International Women's Day. We will consider application for any form of performance art.

For both residencies we will organise a meeting with the successful artist/company to map out their two weeks at Theatre Deli Sheffield as well as tailor the producing and marketing support to their needs.

Applications will close on Sunday 30th October for the January residency and 30th November for the March residency.
We will then shortlist applications and contact applicants within one week of the deadline.

We may invite shortlisted applicants to interview if appropriate.

If you are not able to work to these dates but are developing work on our theme then please contact us at sheffield@theatredeli.co.uk so we can discuss your work further.
