I, 14195 Berlin ein. Die Vorlesung heiß ' Raising livestock, feeding
cities: Isotopic insights into rural exploitation
and resource mobilisation in Archaic Italy' wo sie wird mit uns darüber
sprechen, wie die Untersuchung der Tierhaltung in den frühen
italienischen Staaten neue Einblicke in die Urbanisierung und
Staatsbildung ermöglicht. Die Vorlesung wird im Englisch sein. Besuchen

The Referat Naturwissenschaften (DAI, Berlin) invites you to an evening lecture with Dr Angela Trentacoste (British School, Rom) at the Lepsius Kolleg, Im Dol 2-6, 14195 Berlin. The lecture is titled: Raiding livestock, feeding cities: Isotopic insights into rural exploitation and resource mobilisation in Archaic Italy, Dr Trentacoste will take us on a voyage of discovery via the prism of stable isotopic analysis of animal remains, which has uncovered hitherto unknown aspects of animal husbandry. These results not only expand our understanding of animal husbandry in Archaic Italy but also the development of Urbanism and formation of early states. The lecture will be in English.
