We are so grateful for your willingness to support our community and the 4th Annual Sandpoint Pride Festival through your time and service. Volunteers are ambassadors of the Sandpoint Pride Festival and must comport themselves in a manner that aligns with our mission. The mission and purpose of the Sandpoint Pride Festival is to affirm the dignity and equality of the LGBTQI2S community, to welcome and celebrate their contributions to society and support the ongoing to movement to secure their rights, freedom, and safety.

A portion of the proceeds from Sandpoint Pride Festival will support local groups and nonprofits serving the LGBTQI2S community. Your volunteerism makes this possible.

All volunteers are required to complete a Peacekeepers Training (a live Zoom training and/or recorded video will be provided), and complete a minimum of one (1) four to five hour volunteer shift in exchange for a 2024 Pride Volunteer T-Shirt and access to the Pride Festival After Party on Sunday, July 15 at Matchwood Brewing Company.

Volunteer Expectations:
1. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. If able, we will need volunteers to complete some lifting and moving of tables, materials, boxes, equipment, etc. Please inform the volunteer leader if you need light duty on your application.
2. Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. Wear sunscreen.
3. There is absolutely no drinking while on shift. Volunteers are required to be sober when they check-in for duty.
4. We ask that you do not bring young children along with you while you are volunteering and that you do not leave young children unattended at Pride Festival while you are volunteering.
5. Volunteers will be assigned roles on a first-come, first-serve basis.
6. If you do not show up for your shift, you will not be eligible for a t-shirt or the volunteer brunch.
7. There are set number of volunteers needed for each shift. We will place folks on specific shifts first-come, first-serve basis and prioritize folks availability as best we can.
8. Please bring food or snacks to ensure you are no hungry. Food trucks and local businesses will be open and available for purchase. Water will be provided.

Our Volunteer and Safety committee will be in touch in early June to begin finalizing the details of training and shifts.
