𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐯𝐞𝐫. 𝟐)
The purpose of this questionnaire is to explore the adaptation experiences of first-generation Asian Americans. There are three parts to the questionnaire.

The first part of the questionnaire will ask about your demographic information

The second part of the questionnaire will ask about your CURRENT experiences living in the U.S.

The third part of the questionnaire will ask about your experiences when you ENTERED THE U.S.

The questionnaire should take no more than 20 minutes. It is anonymous, and no identifying experiences will be requested. Please answer all the items so we can complete the data set.

The investigators believe there is little or no risk to completing this questionnaire. One possible risk is that you feel uncomfortable when responding to some of the items. If you feel uncomfortable, you can skip the question, take a break, or stop taking the survey.

This study is being conducted by Jiwei Tang (jiweit@hawaii.edu) for his master’s thesis and is being supervised by Dr. Bryan Kim, Professor of Psychology at the University of Hawaii at Hilo (bryankim@hawaii.edu). If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact Jiwei Tang or Bryan Kim.
