MBMS Strings Audition Sign Ups for 2021-2022
* The deadline to register to audition has passed.  You may still register here but please email dhaslop@mbusd.org to let Mrs. Haslop know that you just registered, in order to receive "next steps" instructions.  Deadline to turn in videos are non-negotiable.

MBMS Strings/Orchestra Program has a place for all students interested in continuing their string instrument learning at the middle school.  Cadet Orchestra is a continuation of 5th grade strings and does not require an audition.  Most incoming 6th graders should sign up for the no-audition Cadet Strings class.  Students with extensive learning and experience playing their string instruments are welcome to sign up here before April 16 to audition for higher level classes.

This form is to be used for current 5th graders.  Current 6th and 7th graders are completing audition requirements through their orchestra classes.

List the student's music background/experience.  You may include any piano or other instrument experience, extra tutelage, performances, etc.   Any information that describes your child's music background is welcome here.   *
An email will be sent out by April 19th, to all students who have signed up to audition.  Parents will be copied on the email.  It will include Google Classroom codes as we will be using Google Classroom as a platform for students to submit the audition requirements.  Students may start uploading their audition videos after April 19th.  All audition videos will be due May 14th.  If you have any questions, please contact Denise Haslop via email at dhaslop@mbusd.org.
