LIVING HISTORY FIELD TRIP DAY                                                       Feb 28, 2020 Registration
Admission is $4 per person (students and chaperones) if pre-registered and pre-paid by Thursday at noon the day prior to the event. Children under 5 free.
Admission will be $5  per person at the gate, (cash or check) if pre-registered and un-paid.

Step back in time, this day will consist of self-guided tours for public, private, and home school students. Students pass through a series of living history stations that reveal different aspects of the Civil War and life during the 1860’s. Some of the stations may include, but will not be limited to the following:
◾Re-enactors in period dress/uniforms and in character
◾Encampments (Federal-Confederate)
◾Live music demonstrations of time period songs
◾Medical Hospital Units
◾Calvary Units
◾Food preferences and preparation, supplies, daily activities
◾Narrations by re-enactor soldiers about why they fight for the cause
◾Explanations about the different types of cannons and side arms
◾Blacksmith and wood wright demonstrations
◾Museum buildings open with tour guides, including the 1860's Overstreet House
◾Flags of Florida station/speaker
◾Battle of Santa Rosa Island speaker
◾The Hillsborough River Raid station/speaker
◾General Lee and General Grant Re-enactors/speakers

Food items, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase, cash only, no credit cards. You may also bring your lunch and picnic on the grounds.
