In this series of four 90-minute sessions, we’ll care for bodies with gentle movement and breathwork followed by a period of writing from a prompt focused on an aspect of grief. Facilitated by Dallas Rising, a yoga instructor who specializes in somatic grief work and the somatic practitioner at the Center for Grief and Loss, and a First Universalist church member. Participants should plan to bring a yoga mat, a journal or notebook, and a pen. If you do not have a yoga mat, please let us know and we will arrange to have one available for you. This experience will be best suited for people who are grieving the death of a loved one, though it doesn’t matter if the loss is recent or not. *Movement is standing, seated in a chair or on the floor, and reclining on the floor. If you would like to participate and mobility is a concern, please be in touch. This group is limited to 10 people; if it fills, you will be notified and automatically be added to a waiting list in case a spot opens up.
