EA NYC is gauging interest in a new subgroup. The Effective Giving subgroup would be a space for those who have made giving a big part of their lives, either through earning to give or other involvement in philanthropy. Based on interest, the subgroup would likely meet either monthly or bimonthly. Initially, the group would serve as a casual place to meet others members of the effective altruism community with shared interests and backgrounds. Based on participant interest, it could remain a casual meetup or become more structured over time.
