WRD Mostly! Moonlight Nature Walk Registration
To register for the Westford Recreation Department Mostly! Moonlight Nature Walk Program, please complete ONE FORM PER PARTICIPANT.

These walks are offered at no charge, but donations are accepted.  Drop donations in the box at the Town Office, or, soon, a Venmo option!  Look at the Westford Recreation page for that.

Friday or Saturday nights close to the full moon, with the exception of a bat hike at the new moon.  Guided hikes on/around the Westford Trails.  Please, be careful of mud!

For adults, age 18 and over.

Please register for walks at least two days before the walk(s) you are interested in.  If no-one is registered by 6:00 p.m. the Wednesday before any particular walk, it will be cancelled.

  • May 5 - Friday - 8:00 p.m. - Kate Kelly - amphibians 
  • June 3 - Saturday - 8:30 p.m. - Jacob Crawford - bird calls - American Woodcock territorial aerial displays and Wilson's Snipe winnowing calls and flights 
  • New moon - July 22 - Saturday - 8:15 p.m. NOT Moonlight! - Alyssa Bennett - Bats - bring flashlights
  • We will be adding a few more as we get closer to the dates.

COVID-19 Agreement: To ensure the health and safety of all participants, volunteers, and their families, I agree to the following:  A personal health check will be completed within an hour BEFORE participating in any Westford Recreation Department program. Have you been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19? Do you feel unwell with any symptoms consistent with COVID-19? For example, have you had a cough, high temperature, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with shills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell?  Take temperatures prior to arrival.  Does the temperature exceed 100.4 F ?If the answer to any of these questions are Yes, DO NOT attend the program. Maintain social distancing, whenever possible. No sharing of personal equipment, water bottles, clothing, etc. Shared program equipment will be sanitized between sessions.  Hand sanitizer will be available. Wash your hands before and after programs. Masks are NOT required. COVID-19 restrictions are constantly changing.  Please adhere to the CDC and Vermont State Guidelines *
