Dietary Information
We aim to do all we can to reduce the risks from allergens and accommodate dietary requirements whether they be for medical, religious or ethical reasons or simply personal choice. We have had many visitors with allergies as well as those with gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and halal diets successfully visit The Chocolatarium and we aim to be as accessible as possible.
For children with severe or strict dietary requirements, a named responsible adult with responsibility for the child's health and wellbeing must remain on the premises for the duration of the event.
NOTE: Many products used contain wording such as "May contain [allergen]", "Packed/repacked on premises/at a facility that handles [allergen]". This summary refers to the listed ingredients only.
NUTS, PEANUTS, SEASAME SEEDS AND EGGS
We have avoided the use of products that have nuts, peanuts, seasame seeds or eggs listed as an ingredient during any part of the tour. However, products containing nuts are sold in the gift shop.
MILK
Tasting Chocolates: Many of the chocolates offered during a children's event contain milk. However, milk-free alternatives are available. By completing this form in advance, we will have the opportunity to prepare these for your child.
Chocolate-making: Both milk and dark chocolate are available. Toppings that have milk as an ingredient include caramel pebbles, fudge brownie pieces, chocolate balls, white chocolate curls and ruby chocolate crisps.
SOYA
Tasting Chocolates: Many of the chocolates offered during the event contain small amounts of soya lecithin. By completing this form in advance, we will have the opportunity to prepare an alternative for your child.
Chocolate-making: The chocolate used for making the bars may contain traces of soya lecithin. Toppings that have soya as an ingredient include caramel pebbles, fudge brownie pieces, chocolate balls, white chocolate curls and ruby chocolate crisps.
GLUTEN
Tasting Chocolates: The hot chocolate drink contains Oatly Oat milk which contains less than 100 ppm (mg/kg product) gluten.
Chocolate-making: The chocolate used for making the bars does not contain gluten. Toppings that contain gluten include raspberry fruit pieces, strawberry fruit pieces, ruby chocolate crisps and rice crispies.
VEGAN

Chocolate-making: The marshmallows contain gelatine.
HALAL
Chocolate-making: The marshmallows contain gelatine.
For older children who will select their own chocolates from the tasting shelves, the full list of ingredients is printed next to each sample jar.
