Co-create public art that speaks to the community, for the community!

'FROM PARKING LOT INTO A VIBRANT COMMUNITY HUB' is a community-engaged art project that will transform a shipping container into a unique community space located on the parking lot of the Vanier Community Services Centre. Residents of all ages, cultures and backgrounds are invited to contribute to the design and painting of a mural that will cover all four exterior walls of the container turning it into a piece of art.

Together we will create a positive community space where everybody belongs and feels welcome. We are now collecting Vanier residents' ideas to be part of the mural - a collective expression of our love for the neighbourhood. Interested in being part of this unique initiative? Please share your ideas below by August 15, 2020.

All questions below are optional: you can answer all of them or only the ones you like! You may spend 5 minutes or 30 depending on your availability, all stories short or long do matter to us! Thank you :)

Once the community responses are collected, the artist will turn your stories in a mural design and share it with all the participants for final feedback. Mural painting will occur in late August and we will follow up with more details on community painting days! All updates about the project can be found at any time at: www.alfergani.com/vanier
