Welcome to the Studio 550 Handmade Gift Shop!

We are so excited you will be joining our community of talented craftspeople. Artist relationships are very important to us, so we will actively work to sell your work and promote your craft. Here is what you can expect from us:

- Marketing boosts and events will be held around significant retail holidays.
- Retail staff will provide customers with accurate information (assuming you provide it) about your creative process, the benefits of your product and how to care for the items they purchase.
- Retail spaces will be kept clean and tidy.
- Your work will be presented in a professional and flattering manner that encourages customer interaction.
- Any questions or concerns you have will be answered within 48 hours by email.

If all of that sounds good, please read through the following form so that you understand our policies and what we are expecting of you. Please read each of the statements below carefully. By checking the corresponding boxes you are agreeing to each policy. Unless otherwise discussed, artists who wish to sell there work must be in agreement with ALL of the following policies.

General Shop Policies *

Any work that's accepted is on consignment. The artist/shop sales split is 60/40.

If Items are sold at a discount from a Studio 550 coupon the discount will be taken out of the studio’s portion, not the maker.

Digital Payouts (Vemno) will be done quarterly, payouts by check will be done every other quarter.

You can set your own prices, just be mindful to keep prices comparable to other places where your work is sold (both online or in bricks and mortar shops).

A full year consigning period will give your work time to find a home. If an item hasn’t sold within a year we will contact you to pick up the work, have it shipped, or allow the item to go on clearance. The split of items marked on sale will remain 60/40 of the reduced price. If you do not want your items to go on clearance after a year, then please contact us to collect your work or to change out the products.

If you are applying for a specific show (i.e. Cup Show), your work will be on display for the duration of the exhibit dates. We sometimes hold onto work after the show. If you would like to have any unsold work back immediately following the show, let us know.

Getting your work here ready to sell *

Items can be dropped off or shipped to Studio 550. It is the artists responsiblility to get work to us safely by the agreed upon date. It is our responsibility to safely return unsold work after consignment period ends. Juried Cup show participants must provide return shipping to get cups back.

Please provide us with accurate and professional website, business cards, and/or pictures of you or your work (or you making your work), so we can effectively share your story with our visitors and on social media.

Please provide us with information about how you make your work. What is your process? The more we can share with potential customers about the work and the maker, the more connection they have with the work. The more connection and information, the more likely the sale!

When applicable, please provide an info sheet that lists ingredients or materials, expiration, care instructions, and any other important information that will help us sell your work.
