ACB Community Events is a program of the American Council of the Blind.

Please help us in supporting you by providing the necessary information for your event.

All events must be submitted by Wednesday 11:59pm ET for inclusion in the following Sunday-Saturday week. Any submissions after that time must be accompanied by an email to community@acb.org alerting us of the late submission.

In an effort to be most efficient with time and resources, we will not schedule more than three events concurrently. Priority will be given to recurring events and in order of submission. You will be notified with possible options if your event needs to be scheduled for a different time.

Event Host (All ACB Community events must be hosted by an ACB qualified host. If using a non-ACB account, you may request a host. If using an ACB account, a host will be assigned for you. Requests for specific hosts are subject to availability and overall scheduling needs based on weekly host availability submissions.) *

If using a non-ACB account, you must agree to the following:

I will open the room 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time and give full “host privileges to the assigned host (not co-host).

I will not have the meeting set to “Allow participants to join anytime," and will not use the “waiting room” feature for entry.

I will record the event from the time the room opens until it closes, send the recording link to community@acb.org within 24 hours of the event being held, and keep the recording for two weeks from the date of the event.

I will make sure phone numbers are masked.

I agree Zoom information for community events must not be shared through social media and public websites.

I acknowledge noncompliance with any of the above will prevent me from holding a Community event unless on an ACB account.
