If your son/daughter likes to run, or is interested in running, you may want to sign them up. The sport is long-distance running (e.g., 1 mile for 4th and 5th grades, 1.9 miles for middle school) and is a great way to stay fit and social. Cross Country will be open to 4th – 8th graders this year!
Our first practice will be on Tuesday September 6th. Our first competition will be on Wednesday, September 7th
Mr. Gaudette and Mr. Dulaski are the coaches.
Practices are scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays 4-5pm at St. Mary's.
Meets will take place at Slater Park, Pawtucket RI – it is a short drive from Mansfield. They occur every Wednesday from September 8th through October 12th. Start time is 5:00, we will get more details about rain dates and exact start times for the three different races at our coaches meeting on August 11th.
The fee for cross-country through the school is $50.00 – this covers the cost of registration, not uniforms.
St. Mary's is a member of the Catholic Athletic League (C.A.L) that provides students the opportunity to compete with Catholic schools in both the Diocese of Providence and Diocese of Fall River. The C.A.L. Sports program that we participate in are Cross Country, Basketball, and Volleyball. The program is provided entirely by volunteers.
