Different Types of Engineers: Q&A
This is a part of our COVID-19 Robotics Initiative, a program that we are starting here at The STEAM Connection for the Summer to benefit POC students who love to learn about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Learn more at www.steamconnection.org. This class is open to all.

Class Description: There is more to engineering than meets the eye. Meet a diverse group of engineers who love their job in everything from robotics to designing for social media. This is an opportunity to learn about jobs you otherwise may have never known about and to ask questions. This session will be led by The STEAM Connection founder, Danielle Boyer. Danielle Boyer is a teen inventor, author, entrepreneur, and educator from Michigan. Parents are welcome to attend alongside their students. All form answers are kept private.

We have many accomplished engineering guests coming to speak and answer questions. A few of our guests include:

-Aidan Aired a Guinness World Record holder, inventor, and founder of the well-known educational nonprofit STEM Kids Rock
-Rob Maldonado, a mechanical engineering influencer with over 15k followers who is well known for his engineering simulations
-Danielle Boyer, our founder here at The STEAM Connection and also an indigenous teen inventor, author, and award-winning speaker
-Jorvon Moss, a successful robotics designer who creates wearable technology and interactive robots that fascinate many

Racial Self-Identification
Our COVID-19 Robotics Initiative was created for POC students. We have opened up the sign-ups to everyone after minority students got a chance to sign-up for the past few weeks. To know who we reach and serve, we would appreciate a racial self-identification to know which communities we bring our resources to.

Internet Access
We ask if you have access to these resources because our Zoom program relies on it. We know that Internet access and resources are a huge problem for many communities, but unfortunately do not have the resources to provide these resources at this time. We are only able to accept students to our class that answer "yes" to this question.
