The technical event is being organized by Engg. Activity Committee & Innovation & Incubation Centre of the Renewable Energy Society of India (RESI) as a series of virtual sessions during this pandemic of COVID.
During Conference of Parties (COP21), India committed to adopt a climate friendly and cleaner path for economic development. India has taken various initiatives at government level. India’s NDC builds on its goal of installing 1,75,000 megawatts of renewable power capacity by 2022. Further, India has an ambitious target of 4,50,000 megawatts renewable capacity by 2030.India is committed to reducing Green House Gas (GHG) emission intensity up to 33-35% by 2030 from the 2005 level and to achieve about 40 percent cumulative electric power installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030.
On 15-04-2021, a virtual event is to be held to explore the new opportunities in Renewable Energy Sources. The session brings together experts from different segments to discuss the key action points needed in order to make the outcome in to reality on the topic “Renewable Energy: Next Alternative Source”.
