Roots & Shoots/Saplings Registration
Roots & Shoots/Saplings is a supportive, non-judgmental space for parents and caregivers of transgender and gender diverse individuals of all ages! As an added bonus, PEERS Alliance has partnered with the Sierra Club of PEI's Wild Child Program to provide parallel play based programming for transgender & gender creative kids ages 12 and under (as well as their cisgender siblings!).

At the same time, Saplings provides a supportive, non-judgmental space for transgender and gender diverse youth ages 13-18 to participate in group discussion and fun activities. Saplings is an extension of our Roots and Shoots program and aims to fill a much needed gap in trans youth supports.

Please complete this form regardless of who may be attending from your family.

Roots & Shoots/Saplings is a program based on the most important parts of a plant. The Roots are responsible for supporting and nurturing the Shoots and Saplings so that they can blossom and grow into the most beautiful beings possible (no matter how old they are!). Just as with plants, we know that gender creative or gender diverse people flourish in environments where they are supported rather than stifled. Our goal with this program is to connect caregivers with the tools and resources to support the growth and healthy development of the transgender and gender diverse people in their lives.
