Supporting the Scottish Climate Justice Movement - Tripod Scoping Survey

Are you active in a grassroots group or movement addressing the spiralling climate chaos?
What support do you need to make your campaigning more effective?

We're Tripod, a grassroots training collective, and we created a wee survey to find out how we can best support the Scottish climate justice movement going forward. The deadline is the end of August 2019 and we'd love to hear from you.

About Tripod: Training for Creative Social Action
Tripod was founded in 2008 as a non-profit workers’ cooperative and has three key goals:

To strengthen organising for social and ecological justice by embedding skillsharing, strategic campaign planning and community organising principles.
To nurture resilience and intersectional solidarity so that organisers are better able to collaborate across difference.
To cross-pollinate learning between movements so that we can build upon our wins.

We provide our work on a sliding scale based on the funding and resources available to the groups we support. Organisations that are able to pay for our work support us to work with more grassroots groups at little to no cost.

About This Survey
In the time ahead, we want to focus on further strengthening and supporting the climate justice movement in Scotland. We’re currently gathering feedback from various key groups and organisations working on climate and ecological issues in Scotland so that we have a better sense of what your training and support needs are.

We’ve created this short survey below and would very much appreciate your input. Please share this survey with others in your networks too. We welcome multiple responses from individuals but if you were able to discuss these questions collectively and submit a group response, that would be most useful to us.

There are quite a few questions but don't feel like you need to answer them all comprehensively, any input is appreciated. To value the time you’re putting into this, we’re offering the chance to win one of two free spaces on our flagship Running Great Workshops training this Autumn (or any of our other up-coming open workshops).
Confidentiality & Questions
We will use this information to make sure that what we offer is as relevant as possible, and supports you to make your campaigns more effective and sustainable. Your responses will be treated confidentially, will only be used to inform Tripod’s strategy and will not be shared with third parties. We’re conscious of gathering details of active organisers so this survey can be filled in anonymously. At the end of the survey we ask you whether you’d be up for being contacted by us in case we have any follow up questions –this is by no means compulsory.

If you have any questions or feedback about this survey, or would like to arrange a call or meeting to chat about your group’s training and support needs, please contact Olga at olga@tripodtraining.org. Also, if you rather fill in this survey offline, pop us an e-mail and we’ll send you a document with the questions. We look forward to hearing from you!
