Webinar Registration: Introduction to the DARE platform -  Focusing on Earth Sciences
– When: 11 November 2020, 10:00-11:30 CET

The DARE platform, the main technical outcome of the DARE project, enables the seamless development and reusability of high-level scientific workflows and applications, and the reproducibility of the experiments. It emphasises RESTful-based interaction to deliver Workflow-as-a-Service (WaaS) functionality and dynamic loading of execution contexts, therefore hiding significant technical complexity from the end users. The platform currently supports use cases from the domains of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. It is primarily intended to be used by research engineers and researchers.

The webinar will focus on a use-case dealing with the calculation of earthquake source parameters. Doing so, it will introduce the DARE project and platform to both research developers and domain researchers of the seismological community of EPOS daily working with tools and workflows for earthquake analyses also in the context of emergency communication. It will cover interacting with the platform in order to supplement your user-facing applications. The webinar will also include deployment instructions and a short hands-on session. A number of test accounts on an operational DARE installation will be provided for limited time and use based on availability.

Please register below! We will contact you on the email you supply with connection instructions.

*Your data will be used solely for carrying out the webinar and for your optional use of the DARE platform. It will not get transferred to anyone outside the DARE consortium, and it will be removed permanently soon after the webinar has concluded.*
