Complete this application to be considered for the Down East Teacher Institute 2024.  Applications are due by May 15, 2024.   We will communciate with you mid to late May if you have been accepted or placed on a wait list for our DETI.  This workshop is free.  More information about this will be in your acceptance letter.

Down East Teacher Institute is July 22-24, 2024.  Wednesday is optional, but you must attend all day Monday and Tuesday. Science/History CEUs will be given for these two days. (approxiately 8-4) *
Wednesday, July 24, is a curriculum day when we go more indepth with the history and science we experienced during the week.  Teachers can receive history/science content CEUs for this day.  Are you interested in attending our curriculum day? *

Applicant Contract

If accepted, I commit to attend the DETI the week of July 22-24, 2024 at the CSWM&HC at Harkers Island. There will be traveling with the group both days via bus, boat, and/or truck to many Down East locations and Cape Lookout.   Breakfast, lunch, and snacks along with transporation fees during the professional development will be covered by the Core Sound Waterfowl Musuem & Heritage Center.
