Youth with disabilities, the Permanent Mission of Finland to the United Nations, Office of the Envoy of the Secretary-General for Youth (OSGEY), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) , The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Executive Office of the Secretary-General (Disability Team) support us in the launching of our youth-led network for youth with disabilities.

Through a youth-led network, we will be able to build and access a youth-led community of practice, we can lead on priority issues that significantly impact our lives and identities as youth. We can collectively decide our specific roles as youth in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and in promoting, disseminating and building movements within regions and in communicating among youth as a youth community. In addition, this network will provide us with a safe space for us as young people with disabilities to share our opinion on the broader movements for the rights of people with disabilities; accessibility challenges and very specific barriers that we face as young people with disabilities.
