The RJO Saturday Jazz Workshop is taught by Dylan Coleman and guest instructors. Rehearsals and concerts will be held at Good Luck Macbeth Theater 124 W. Taylor St. Reno.**

We offer two groups, a 9-11am session geared toward “beginner” jazz students (usually middle school). The 11:30am-1:30pm session is geared toward more "advanced" jazz students (usually high school). Note: sessions will be combined if there are not enough students for both.

In this 9-week program, students work on rhythmic exercises, ear training, jazz tunes, listening, improvisation, and chords and scales.

The culminating project will be 2 concerts in which the Jazz Workshop students are the opening group for an RJO Concert.

Important: if your child is experiencing cold symptoms or awaiting Covid test results, they should not attend rehearsal in person. Zoom availability can be made upon request.
