African American Caucus - Durham County Democratic Party (AAC-DCDP) Membership

The mission of the AAC-DCDP is to promote political participation and education within the African American Community, encourage African Americans to seek public office, represent issues and concerns of its membership to the Democratic Party Leadership, and work towards strengthening the Democratic Party.

1. A member is any African American citizen of the United States of America, who is a registered Democrat in Durham, pledges to the principles of the Party and/or will work for the election of Democratic candidates through the precinct, county, district, state, and national level.

2. A membership application and payment of the prescribed annual dues ($10) must be submitted and accepted to be considered a member in good standing.

3. An Associate Member is a person not of African descent. Associate Members may attend general body and local caucus meetings but cannot vote at AAC meetings.
