We are very fortunate to have scholarships available for families in need of assistance with private lesson payments. This is a service provided by the Burleson HS Band Boosters. Scholarship applicants and recipients are kept strictly confidential by the private lesson teacher, band directors and the Booster Club Treasurer. In order to continue to be able to provide this service for those with a genuine need for assistance, we ask that only those in financial circumstances prohibiting enrollment in lessons apply.

The following criteria must be met throughout the entire period in which a student receives a private lesson scholarship.

Students must:
• Demonstrate a willingness to practice for every lesson, making satisfactory progress as deemed by the lesson teacher and band director.
• Demonstrate a willingness to attend all private lesson sessions for the semester. The BHS Band Boosters will not pay for unexcused, missed lessons (recipients agree to pay the full price for unexcused absences to the private lesson teacher).
• Communicate with private lesson teachers when they are aware of a future absence.
• Remain in good academic standing (passing all classes). If you have questions regarding private lessons or private lesson scholarships, please contact Mr. Day.
