Join the Ragged Mountain Foundation for trail work and park clean-up efforts.
The much needed trail work around East Peak will help improve the access trails to the mecca of moderate routes around the Castle and improve the path between the high quality classics around the rest the cliff. These work days will be used to establish a definitive trail under the Castle Craigs Right side, clean up the trash at the base of the cliff and work on the climbers trails under the Amphitheater area. Our focused efforts will be dedicated to helping the climbing community better navigate the climbers trail under at the base of the cliff.
The RMF will provide tools, gloves, and garbage bags needed for both clean-up and trail work. We'll have both light and heavy-duty tasks to get involved with on the day of each event.
Time frame:
Meet at the
Hubbard Park at the gate near the I691 underpass off Hubbard Park Drive @9:30am (gate closest to the Hubbard Park Greenhouse). We will open the gate for all volunteers to drive to the top of the road to park in the Castle Craig lot for each day. Expect several hours of physical work.
