The letter below is intended to call on Washington elected officials to deliver an action plan for the recovery of endangered salmon and orcas due to the Snake River dams. For the past half century, the dams on the lower Snake River have obstructed wild salmon and steelhead migration routes from Idaho to the Pacific.
We are asking for your support in calling for the removal of the four lower Snake River dams. This initiative is supported by the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians and the Save Our Wild Salmon coalition as well as numerous other regional Indigenous communities and environmental groups. It was also publicly supported in a letter by 68 regional salmon and fisheries scientists to Northwest policymakers in February 2021.
A PDF version of the letter is available upon email request to

We will also be hosting a community Snake River Dams education event sometime soon. Please add your email at the bottom of the form for more details as this is organized!
