Session description:
Creating art through non-profit structures in a capitalistic society can produce cultures of competition and tension amongst equity-seeking artists, who are made to vie against each other in order to access resources and opportunities at gatekeeping institutions. How can we as artists resist that, forge strong collaborative networks, create paths for survival within institutions, and ways to sustainably work outside of them? This exploratory workshop creates an opportunity for 2QTBIPOC artists to come together to share, strategize about what it means, or could mean, to have enough.
