GLUE APPLICATION LETTER OF SUPPORT
You have been identified as the direct supervisor of an individual applying for acceptance into the Global & Urban Health  & Equity (GLUE) program. The GLUE program is the educational component of the Wayne State University Global Health Alliance (WSUGHA). The program consists of monthly seminars, online reading and homework assignments, and a capstone project.
 
The two-year program is designed to offer scholars the opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge and skills surrounding global health. We provide mentorship in global and community health; promote scholarly activity in global health education and innovative service delivery; and, education around health disparities and equity.  GLUE requires approximately 10 hours of commitment per month for online modules, in person sessions, and capstone participation.  Classes will be held in person Thursday evenings from 6-8:30pm on the following dates: September 14th, Oct 5th and 26th, Nov 16th, Dec 14th, Jan 18th, Feb 15th, March 14th, April 4th and 25th.
  
GLUE scholars need to have completed a bachelor degree.  Levels of training span the spectrum from graduate students to working professionals and academic disciplines include medicine, nursing, public health, and more.
