Please complete this scheduling form by Friday, May 14th so we can begin building your schedule.

Math, foreign language, and science placement is based on courses taken in middle school.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM A PUBLIC SCHOOL OR APPROVED PRIVATE SCHOOL:

If you successfully completed Spanish 1 or French 1 in 8th grade, you can move on to the next level. If you feel like you need to repeat the course to gain a better understanding, that is fine. Some of you may have taken Spanish 1 and 2, or French 1 and 2 depending on what middle school you went to, so you would be able to move on to level 3. If you feel like you need to repeat a level for better understanding, that is fine.

If you successfully completed Algebra 1 in 8th grade, you can move on to the next level (Geometry). If you successfully completed both Algebra 1 AND Geometry in middle school, you can move on to the next level (Algebra 2). If you feel like you need to retake the course to gain a better understanding, that is fine.

If you successfully completed Algebra 1 AND you received an A in 8th grade science, you may sign up for Honors Biology. If you have not completed Algebra 1 OR you did not receive an A in 8th grade science, you should sign up for IPC.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM A NON-APPROVED PRIVATE SCHOOL OR HOME SCHOOL:

If you are coming from a non-accredited private school or home school and wish to receive high school credit for math, foreign language, or FOT- you will have to take a credit review test. If you do not pass the credit review test, you will have to retake the course(s).
