What is the Aquatics Workforce Program?
This is a program where interns will be hired to learn swim skills and become certified lifeguards, as well as participating in more general workforce development training. Interns who successfully complete the program are guaranteed a job placement with the YMCA of San Francisco.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Vaccinated against COVID
- Must be able to obtain a work permit
- Ability
to work effectively with others
Responsibilities:
- Be in attendance at all training sessions on time
- Learn workforce and lifeguarding material and skills
- Work effectively with your teammates
- Communicate proactively with your supervisor and your trainers
- Represent the YMCA of San Francisco. Act in accordance with the values of caring, responsibility, respect and honesty.
You Will:
- Learn swimming, lifeguard and workforce skills
- Receive certifications in CPR, First Aid and Lifeguarding
- Work as a team with other interns
- Become a leader in your community
- Attend dry sessions Mondays 10am - 2pm, Tuesdays 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, & Wednesdays
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Attend water sessions Tuesdays 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM & Wednesdays 12 PM - 2:00 PM
