All committees work under the direction of Parent Coordinators and Focus Office. Training and handbooks provided by the Focus Office. Time commitments vary with time of year - between a few hours to a few minutes per week until the week before the event. There are weeks of no time commitment. Please plan to be available for AT LEAST one full day of Focus daytime workshops (TWO days total), if possible.

Architecture Workshops - responsible for finding local architects for interactive workshops

Art Night - assist with event planning - work with professional and student artist exhibitors

Art Workshops - responsible for finding local artists to lead hands on and demo workshops

Assemblies - assist in planning Student Assemblies for Focus

Creative Writing Workshops - responsible for finding writers for workshops

Dance Night - assist in planning the event and hosting the artists.

Dance Workshops - responsible for finding dance instructors and groups for workshops & performances

Drama Workshops - responsible for finding artists for drama workshops and performances

Media Workshops - responsible for finding participants in all genres of media for interactive workshops

Music Workshops - responsible for finding artists for music workshops and performances

Opening Night - assist in event planning and execution of musical/dramatic event

Social Justice Workshops - responsible for finding local artists who explore social issues in any genre of the arts

Student Showcase - responsibilities include auditioning and organizing student performance showcases

Evaluations - assist in collecting feedback from students and volunteers

Hospitality – coordinating food service and hospitality for Focus artists

Mailing Campaign – assisting with the fall fundraising letter campaign

Marketing - assist in development and execution of social, print, PR marketing

Visitor Outreach – invite and host VIP guests, visiting schools and groups during Focus

Personnel – recruiting and organizing adult volunteers during Focus

Photo Records – photographing Focus events

Program Book – assist with either design. editing or copy writing the program book

Spirit Wear & Promotions – be onsite during Focus to assist with sales of merchandise

Student Engagement -- assist in promoting Focus to students

Student Scheduling – assisting students with on-line scheduling

Ticketing - assist Focus director with VIP invites and seating
