BOX OFFICE

Description: You'll check in attendees & sell tickets at the door. You'll help attendees understand what the different levels of interactivity are, and guide them to choose a wristband so the cast members know what their comfort & consent level is! This shift is good for people who don't let other people make them feel rushed, and are able to pay attention to details about each attendee.

You'll also help set up the Adventure Shop, Tavern and Activity Stations.

If you would like to work the box office, please check your availability below! Box office shifts begin at 5:45pm and end at 7:45pm.

If you work the box office on May 17th, you'll be paired with an ASL interpreter. Or if you speak ASL, even better!

GREETER

This is for you if you're excited to dress up in a magical or fantasy citizen (read: Ren Fest) costume!

You'll welcome attendees, guide them to fill out their name tags, introduce them to the lore of the world and direct them to the spell casting and apprenticeship stations! You'll hand out entrance items (TBD - some token of the world), and create a first impression of the MoonFall world so all attendees feel included and welcome!

You'll also help set up the Adventure Shop, Tavern and Activity Stations.

If you would like to work a greeter shift, please check your availability below! Greeter shifts begin at 5:45pm and end at 7:45pm.

USHER/MOBILITY ASSISTANCE/STRIKE

Description: This one is more for introverts! It's being kind and helping someone to their seat or guiding a wheelchair user if they need it pre-show, or helping make sure an attendee with mobility issues has space to move around in Act II, and making sure there are chairs for people who need to be seated in the Act II separate performance areas. No need to play a character or be super energetic or share MoonFall lore.

Some days, this involves helping people pre-show AND during Act II. Others, it involves helping people only during Act II, and also helping us tear down at the end of the night.

If you would like to be an usher/mobility assistant/strike helper, please check your availability below!
ADVENTURE SHOP & TAVERN

Description: This is a very social role, and best if you want to dress up and play a character! You'll sell merch as the shopkeeper of the Adventure Shop.

If you're TABC certified or willing to become TABC-certified, we would love for you to be the barkeep for the Tavern!

If you would like to be the shopkeeper or barkeep for a night, please check your availability below. These shifts go from 6:30-7:30pm (pre-show), from 8:15-8:40 (Act II), and from 9:15-9:30 (post-show).
SPELLCASTING STATION

Description: This is a very social role, and best if you want to dress up and play a character! You'll be there to help attendees follow the instructions of an activity, to carefully handle the 3 magical objects in the activity (attendees shouldn't touch them), give them a Moon sticker for completing the activity, and tally the results of the spellcasting.

Create an incantation
They can write down words inspired by MoonFall lore, which will may be chosen in Act II to generate movement in the Magician's scene.

Cast a spell
They can imbue an object with magic to help the Magician of MoonFall accomplish their goals in Act II. To do this, they need to gather a group of 3 people and decide on a physical gesture to go with their incantation. To cast a spell, they'll need to stand on indicated points on the floor, choose a magical object from your station (there will be 3 choices), and say the incantation over it while doing their gesture.

You'll tally which magical objects get the most spells done on them, and share that information with the stage manager when the show begins, to be used in Act II.

If you would like to be the Spellcasting Mage for a night, please check your availability below! These shifts go from 6:30-7:45pm (pre-show), from 8:15-8:40 (Act II), and from 9:15-9:30 (post-show).
APPRENTICESHIP STATION

Description: This is a very social role, and best if you want to dress up and play a character! You'll be there to teach them a short bit of choreography, "a movement passed down through generations of MoonFall Citizens that will help them in the time of greatest need," and to give them a Sun sticker for completing the activity.

There will be a moment in Act III where they'll need to do the movement to help the story move forward.

Teaching The Movement
The movement you'll teach has five parts, we'll share it with you when you get to the venue! It's a right arm push, a left arm push, left hand to the heart, right hand to the forehead, then right hand up and away.

This role is best for a dancer and/or a teacher, who feels confident breaking something down and helping people feel comfortable and safe doing something that's new to them!

If you would like to run the Apprenticeship station for a night, please check your availability below! These shifts go from 6:30-7:45pm (pre-show), from 8:15-8:40 (Act II), and from 9:15-9:30 (post-show).
