Thanks for your interest in volunteering to assist with MinneWiADS: Women in Analytics & Data Science on Monday, Oct. 24 at Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul. We need Room Chairs as outlined below.

Room Chair Duties include:

Ensuring the room sessions are running on schedule.

Helping speakers with technology (we provide laptop adapters if needed by a speaker).

After you briefly introduce yourself, please introduce the speaker with name, job title, and organization. Please encourage the speakers to provide their own introduction, which should take no more than one minute.

Please record the number of attendees for each session on the sheet provided in the room and note your feedback also.

We have 2-4 volunteers in each room so that everyone can also attend some sessions. Only 1 person needs to be in the room at any time.

We have requested that all speakers provide presentations beforehand, and information on accessing these presentations will be provided in the folder you’re given on the morning of the event.  Many speakers prefer to bring their laptop and present off of that, and that’s fine too.
