Amplify Horse Racing is a 501c3 nonprofit that 'amplifies' education and careers in the Thoroughbred industry! This Amplify Saratoga Tour is great for middle, high school or college students who are looking to explore careers in this vibrant sport, learn more about the horses and people of racing, and ways to be involved.
We will begin with the NYRA trolley tour, during which you will get to pet a horse and learn about lead ponies, meet the official starter and watch morning training. From there, our group will branch off to meet a racehorse trainer, talk about Thoroughbred aftercare, and speak to some of the industry professionals who care for the backstretch community and the horses.
Around 11:00am we will break for lunch and reconvene for the races at 12:30. Participants will receive free admission, programs, and paddock access (when accompanied by Amplify tour leader). While on the front side of the track, we will learn about other industry careers including racing officials, media, and track personnel.
