Theatre & Circus Workshops for young people in Dorset

Extraordinary Bodies Young Artists invite you to a series of free workshops at Lighthouse Poole.

Running these workshops will be award-winning Dorset theatre maker Niki McCretton, plus internationally renowned, professional circus company Acrojou. The workshops are happening over 3 days in May half term and we want as many young people in Dorset to come and experience something new, exciting, challenging and fun.

Monday 27th May
• Acrobatics with Acrojou •
Acrobatic Movement - exploring ways to creatively combine acrobatics with movement / contemporary dance

Tuesday 28th May
• Storytelling and Devising skills with Acrojou •
Morning: Introduction to Devising - looking at the methods Acrojou use when creating their work
Afternoon: Practical Devising - working towards creating a short piece
Wednesday 29th May
• Clowning and Physical Theatre with Nikki McCretton •
Learn about the art of clowning, and physical theatre techniques, guaranteed to raise some laughs!

Spaces on the workshops are open to young people aged 14-30 years. Places are FREE of charge and they are limited, so booking is essential.
You can choose up to TWO of the three days to join us.
