Deer River Community Tech Hub: Chamber Member Feedback
Smart North, Deer River Schools, Essentia Health: Deer River, and several other community partners are collaborating to get your inputs on a new initiative in Deer River called the 'Community Tech Hub'; A safe and joyous community center, where youth in 6th-12th grades get access to the latest technology and tools to imagine, create, learn, along with mentorship and career pathways. This space and technology will also be open for community member use at various times.

The youth will also be trained to go back into their community as the 'community tech squad' that provide digital and tech literacy and support to the multigenerational residents and small businesses.

Smart North is a not for profit coalition of public, private, civic, entrepreneurial and academic organizations and individuals committed to transforming livability and digital equity in MN, through smart technologies, intelligent design and data.

We believe this initiative would help keep the youth in the community, create a skilled tech talent pipeline and bring jobs to the region.

This is a quick survey ( 5 minutes). We invite your inputs, assess your needs and interest to support this. We truly appreciate your time!

Thank you.
