Mystic Waterfront Vision Advisory Committee

About Mystic River Waterfront Vision

The Resilient Mystic Collaborative (RMC) is working with the municipalities of Boston (Charlestown/East Boston), Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Somerville, and Revere to develop a waterfront vision for the Mystic River. We hope that we can collectively co-create a vision with the community that is inclusive, equitable and as climate resilient as possible.

What it would try to accomplish

A visioning plan for the area that reflects public and private interests to create a thriving resilient Lower Mystic.  Coming out of that visioning process is a coalition of people with strong relationships wanting this vision to be implemented, and a series of thoughtful, neighborhood-scale projects that can be pursued as part of the larger vision.

About the Mystic Waterfront Advisory Committee:

The RMC is seeking community advisors in Lower Mystic Area to support a just, equitable, and climate resilient waterfront. You don't need any previous experience, just a genuine interest in climate resilience and environmental justice. If you live or work in the Lower-Mystic area area, we'd love to hear from you!

At best, advisors are already well networked in their community, liked and trusted by residents, and good at getting things done and people up, out, and engaged!

Each member will receive a stipend of $1,500-$2,800 provided for a 9-12 month term for their time and expertise, distributed in 2 installments.  Option to decline stipend.

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MARCH 1, 2024
