The Parent Participation Levy was created as a means of building parent involvement in their children's school.
Parent participation in a variety of roles affirms the important role of parents throughout the school and with the broader community in supporting the learning and development of their children.Parents are encouraged to:
- work in conjunction with staff and other community members to support and promote the school's educational programs
support the school through involvement in the School Advisory Council and the Parents and Friends Social Group and associated committees
help to maintain the school’s aesthetic appearance
support the school in areas of fundraising and maintenance
At the beginning of the school year a Levy is added to your school fees of $200. By volunteering throughout the year and recording the hours you volunteered for, you are then able to work off this $200 levy. 8 hours of volunteering is needed to fully work off your points and can be completed by family members eg, Grandparents.
