AI Bots and Language Learners
The initial panic. The end of teaching as we know it. Students won’t learn.

AI Chatbots simulate conversations and it is getting harder and harder to tell the difference. They can be used for personalized content recommendations, language translation, and even data analysis. As the tech improves, educators are becoming more and more concerned about student learning, and assessment of student learning.

What is the future of AI? Should we embrace technology? In this presentation, we explore OpenAI and Microsoft, and we will address the concerns of educators such as job displacement, lack of personalization, bias in data, creativity, and over-reliance on technology, and then we will have an open discussion on new ways to address these concerns.
