Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee (DEI) The DEI Committee will meet monthly and lead our DEI initiatives to promote awareness and provide resources and guidance members can apply within the Association and their work environment to forward diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Triangle multifamily housing space. We hope members will embrace this new committee and sign up! The meeting date and time are yet to be determined so stay tuned.
Education Committee- provides proactive oversight of TAA’s education programs including planning roundtables, providing input on classes, seminars, workshops and overseeing TAA’s Leadership of Excellence Program. This committee promotes the TAA Education Scholarship Fund and conducts its annual fundraisers.

Government Affairs Committee (GAC) - proactively monitors and provides advocacy on behalf of the rental housing industry. The GAC may review legislation and proposed regulations and provide recommendations on such issues to the TAA Board of Directors.
Meetings: Monthly; Third Wednesday at 9am
Housing Affordability Subcommittee (HASC) The HASC launched in mid-2020 as a subcommittee of the Government Affairs Committee. The HASC has been tasked with providing guidance and recommendations to the Government Affairs Committee on issues related to both Affordable Housing and housing affordability. The group will focus on developing the Association’s responses to pending public policy and regulatory issues that affect housing affordability, as well as working to advance a proactive agenda of measures that seek to address affordability issues.
The HASC is open to all members to join and meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 3 pm. There is no requirement to participate in the Government Affairs Committee to get involved.
Membership Committee - focuses on recruitment of new members and increasing TAA's market penetration among non-member companies and properties. The committee also plans member orientation efforts through the New Member Ambassador's Program and providing contact management for new and existing members in an effort to facilitate 100% membership retention. Public Relations/Community Outreach Committee - is responsible for creating brand recognition and promoting our industry and the Association to the general public. The committee oversees TAA's Days of Service and manages TAA's Facebook Group "TAA's Community Event Sharing."

Special Events Committee - The Special Events Committee meets monthly and fosters networking forums for the TAA membership through the development, planning and execution of various Association events. In 2021, events will include TAA Night at the Movies (2), Golf Outing, After Work Networking, Trade Show and a year end Networking / Dinner with a charity collection. XCEL- TAA's New Professional's Network, is comprised of members who are new to the industry or new to their position within their company. XCEL is committed to helping our members engage with the association, develop their careers, and serve our community. Please send me more information about the committee(s) checked above.
