At Grex, the West Coast Affiliate of the AK Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems, we believe that group relations learning should be accessible to everyone, regardless of economic status. We recognize that the entrance fees of workshops and conferences offered by Grex and fellow group relations focused organizations can be prohibitively expensive, and as a result, communities who experience financial hardship due to systemic inequities are historically underrepresented in the populations we serve.

The Grex DEI Scholarship Fund is intended to make conferences and workshops accessible for those who have been regrettably excluded from group relations learning. We define the intended recipients of this funding as communities facing marginalization, namely Black, Indigenous, People of Color,  LGBTQIA+, women and non-binary people, people living with disabilities, and people with low wealth and income. We especially prioritize people at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities. All scholarships will include a two-year membership to Grex.

Applications will be reviewed by members of Grex’s DEI Committee and disbursements will be made on a rolling basis until all funds are used.
