Miracle on Main Street Christmas Parade
Walter G. Nord School will be walking in the Miracle on Main Street Christmas Parade and we hope all our Nord families will join us!

Please complete this form so we can better plan for the parade.  This will also help with sign out after the parade if you are not walking with your child.  Thank you!

Nord students should arrive between 5:20- 5:25 pm at the main doors of Steele High School.  When it is time we will then walk through the high school to our staging area in the south parking lot.  We are meeting at the main doors first to avoid all the traffic in the south lot as there are a lot of people participating in the parade.

Parents dropping off can use either parking lot by the main doors at Steele.  Nord staff members will be by the flag pole directing students into the main doors.  If you are walking with us, please park in either lot.  If you are not walking in the parade, after you drop off your child you can park downtown and find a spot along the parade route.

The theme for the parade this year is "The Year of a Thousand Santas".  We encourage all parade participants to dress for this festive occasion!  All 5th grade students are encouraged to decorate their States Floats as discussed with their Social Studies teachers.  Students may also bring candy to pass out during the parade.

The parade starts at 6:00 pm.  The main parade route will go down Park Avenue, starting at Forest Street, and end at Town Hall.  Students must be picked up at Town Hall by a parent/guardian once we are finished.  This year Nord will be walking right behind the Amherst Marching Comets.

Please call the main office at 440-988-4441 or email Mrs. Harigan (ashley_harigan@amherstk12.org) with any questions.
