Department of Biostatistics SPH Individual Development Plan (IDP)
The IDP is a valuable tool that gives students the opportunity to address their short term and long term career goals. The NIH has mandated that IDP's be a regular part of training and that institutions encourage trainees to comply with this mandate. In addition, the School of Public Health (SPH) is requiring all students, regardless of funding, to fill out an IDP. The NIH, as well as SPH has also mandated that departments must monitor and track compliance of the IDP every three years (this may vary by department).

Goals for the IDP
1. To help individuals determine short-term needs for improving current performance
2. To establish longer-term research and career goals

Please note: The IDP is a School of Public Health requirement and in compliance with a federal regulation. In order to have a completed academic record, you must fill out the IDP.
