Talk with Taus
This will be the last workshop of our virtual Talk with Taus workshop before the end of the school year. MMIWG2S+ (Missing Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls & Two Spirit), a well known issue within urban and rural tribal communities, is almost invisible non-Native communities.

Of the almost 6,000 documented cases of Native women and murder is the 3rd leading cause of death among those10-24. Violence is prevalent amongst Native communities compared to the national average (approximately 10X) due to intergenerational trauma from colonization, residential school programs and cultural erasure.

In this workshop we will discuss the epidemic of violence within the community, key leaders who are advocating for change, and how you support efforts to protect Native women, girls and Two Spirit. Join us on May 7th on Zoom at 10AM to listen to their stories, discuss current trends, and highlight an often overlooked social issue.
