Girls Rock! Chicago builds socially just community with girls, transgender youth, and gender expansive youth by developing leadership, fostering self-esteem, and encouraging creative expression through music. We welcome all volunteers who are women (cis or trans), transgender (regardless of identity), and/or gender expansive. No music experience is required to volunteer!
Camp 2024 will be held at Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart (1501 N Oakley Blvd, Chicago, IL 60622). During the Saturday of camp week, all campers (except for DJs) get the chance to record their original songs in a professional studio. On Sunday, campers will perform for their family and friends at a local music venue. Our volunteers play a critical role in helping camp run smoothly and ensuring that our campers have the best time possible! We're so excited for you to join us to empowering youth through music!

Either before or after attending an info session, prospective volunteers will need to complete our volunteer application which can be found here:

All new volunteers are required to attend one info session, either virtually (Zoom) or in person to learn more about Girls Rock! and to help place volunteers in roles for camp! We will send you a reminder with the meeting link a few days before your info session! Please pick a date to attend!
