Project Peace 2023-2024

Please be aware that students may register for other clubs in the school even if they conflict with this club. They must however pick ONE club to attend each; they cannot go back and forth as they choose. 

A group for 4th-5th grade Kildeer students who are interested in learning and applying mindfulness techniques. We will gather and create a mindfulness toolbox that can be used individually or as a group. The toolbox will also offer the opportunity for students to disseminate their learnings to the broader Kildeer community. Techniques may include journaling, meditation, breathing exercises, role-playing, guided muscle relaxation, sensory exploration, and exploring art and poetry.

PROJECT PEACE will be offered to all students in 4th and 5th grade.  We will meet Wednesdays after school until 4pm. The club will begin Wednesday January 10 and will end on May 1st.

Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up on time. (If your child is continually picked up late it may result in your child no longer being able to stay for the program.) Children will be picked up in front of the building, and we strongly urge families to carpool. 

It is assumed that your child(ren) will be attending the club each week unless you inform your child's teacher ahead of time (24 hour notice, please :-) 

Children who attend Clubhouse MUST sign in at Clubhouse before coming to Poetry Squad

There is NO FEE for this club.
Pick up from the club will be in the FRONT of the school building
