At Where the Sheep Sleep, professional cameras are tentatively welcomed as a means of collective storytelling and self-expression. The Sheep recognizes the power of photography, videography, and film in sharing our community's identity and cultural information. However, The Sheep is committed to safeguarding our culture from unchecked commercialization or commodification, and maintaining an environment where participants' rights to privacy, free expression, and creative immediacy are given special consideration by our community.
By entering the event, you agree to comply with the terms, conditions, and guidelines in these Terms and Conditions for the use of photographic imagery obtained at the Event, whether still or video. These guidelines and agreements are intended to protect the inhabitants of WtSS and its cultural values. Although they may appear unusual at first glance, Where the Sheep goal is to uphold the principle of Decommodification within the event and promote respect for personal privacy and freedom of expression.
The Sheep monitors the dissemination of photographs to prevent them from being used for advertising or commercial purposes and to ensure they do not infringe on participants' privacy rights. If you want to take pictures at the sheep, please fill in a form and come the the Shepard shack on Wednesday or Thursday to receive a badge to indicate that you can take pictures
