The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an undeniably difficult situation for many in our community and in our nation over the last couple of years.
We have received extra funding through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) program. This funding will last for one more year, and it is intended to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and to address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on students. ESSER funding must be used to meet needs that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic.
We would like to ask you to complete a short survey as stakeholders. Your responses will help us to finalize the major areas of need for which we will use “ESSER III” funding.
-As a system, we are already addressing learning loss with after school tutoring and summer school programs. IXL and Discovery Education are programs that have been purchased to further address this issue.
-We will employ a special education assistant that will work with special education students in the inclusion classroom setting. The iRead/System 44 program has also been purchased to help improve comprehension and fluency for students receiving special education services.
-We have also purchased one to one chrome books at both the K-8 and High School, along with Boxlight interactive panels to enhance student learning.
The survey begins below, and responses will be collected through Friday, August 18, 2023. We thank you for your feedback and support!
Directions: You may fill out the paper form and return to school with your child or you may go to the district webpage and do the online survey.
